U.S. Navy Expands Project Flow Implementation to More Shipyards
Realization's Project Flow solution defies conventional project management rules

SILICON VALLEY - February 24, 2004 - Realization Technologies today announced that the U.S. Navy would expand its Project Flow solution to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, thereby increasing service levels and cutting costs.

By increasing the total flow, the Fleet Maintenance Availability Project for Submarines (FMB) has improved schedule performance. The average number of jobs done per upkeep has also risen while the man-hours required have decreased.

Realization developed Project Flow software to eliminate bottlenecks and increase the flow of projects in multi-project operations. Realization's Project Flow software schedules projects based on the most limiting resources. It then assigns buffers in places where they can do the most good. Finally, it measures flow and prioritizes project tasks accordingly.
