92% Vote "More Projects Faster"
vs. "More Reports Faster" SILICON VALLEY - October 6, 2004 - Realization Technologies today announced that attendees at the Project World conference held last week in Washington, D.C., no longer wish to waste time or money on traditional project management software. By an impressive majority of 92%, they voted that they do not want to throw even more software at software problems. Whether it's called 'project portfolio management,' 'enterprise project management' or 'collaboration project management,' they simply get more reports, more graphs, and more useless information. Projects are still delivered late, over budget and under scope. "We couldn't agree more," emphasized Realization Technologies CEO Sanjeev Gupta. "Given the speed and productivity challenges faced by most organizations, nine out of ten project professionals say they need to accomplish more projects faster produce higher quality results with less rework and be more agile and flexible. That's why we created Project Flow, a process of eliminating bottlenecks and time-traps." Project Flow is based on the theory of constraints/critical
chain. It has been adopted in a wide range of industries to realize dramatic
gains quickly. For instance, Hamilton-Beach/Proctor-Silex has increased
throughput dramatically and can now undertake 80-plus percent more major
projects with reduced resources. The U.S. Navy Shipyard in Pearl Harbor
saved over $9 million in overtime in the very first year of using Project
Flow while adhering to agreed-upon schedules of ship overhaul. Lucent
Technologies now gets 1.5 times more output per person. At Irish telecommunications
provider, eircom, program performance climbed to 100 percent from 70 percent.
These Project Flow case studies and others can be obtained by going to the Realization Technologies' website at www.realization.com. About Realization Technologies, Inc. For instance, the Switching Solutions Group of a major telecomm company has reduced project duration by one-third for over 95 percent of their projects. Their internal productivity metrics indicate a 45 percent improvement, and on-time delivery has sustained at 90+ percent over three years. Project Flow is used by over 100 leading organizations throughout the world. Realization is headquartered at 2 North First Street, San Jose, Calif. 95113. Website is www.realization.com.
