Stryker Instruments to Operate with Realization's Project Flow Solution
Key to Success is Developing More New Products Faster

SILICON VALLEY - November 30, 2004 - Realization Technologies today announced that Stryker Instruments (Kalamazoo, Mich.), the division of the Stryker Corporation that is a leading developer and manufacturer of electrically-powered surgical instruments such as powered drills, saws, and fixation and reaming equipment, will now use Realization's Project Flow to manage research and development projects for its R&D employees.

"Stryker Instruments believes that its competitive position is largely dependent on creating new instruments and developing improvements in existing products," reports Realization Technologies' Craig Homann. "For new product development organizations such as Stryker Instruments' R&D group, shrinking life cycles require more projects done quicker with the same assets. Project Flow will help Stryker Instruments eliminate bottlenecks and time traps, increasing the flow of projects so that the company can continue to introduce new innovations more quickly."

Based on the theory of constraints/critical chain, Project Flow identifies the most limited resources across all projects and helps executives select the most profitable project/product mix, given those constraints. In addition, it dynamically prioritizes resources during execution so that overall, the project keeps moving despite local delays.

About Realization Technologies, Inc.
Realization Technologies defies conventional wisdom, both business- and product-wise. This Silicon Valley company has grown without any VC money or marketing hype, and its Project Flow software breaks old management rules instead of blindly automating them. Their internal productivity metrics indicate a 45 percent improvement, and on-time delivery has sustained at 90+ percent over three years.
